He also has been burnt toast the past 2 years too.

I'm definitely concerned about CB going against a heisman contender QB who shredded us last year and 2 very good WRs on FSU's roster. Front seven for LSU has to dictate the game otherwise it's going to be a very long day. No Smith is going to hurt big time. Have to make FSU one-dimensional.

Your definition of shredded & mine isn't the same..... 20/33 260 yds. 7.9 avg. 2 TDs.

Me too, but that’s because they are great, not because our corners are bad.

If we had secondaries like we used to have, with guys like PP7, TM14, Mo Claiborne, etc. I wouldn’t be worried. But those were all-time great corners, and that’s not something we will have as often anymore. Kelly’s style is not a CB-centered defense like Les Miles used to have. Back then the best corners in the country flocked to LSU to be featured in that defense. That’s why we out recruited every other team in the nation for corners. You won’t see that again.

At one time USC got the best RBs. It was because they perfected the Student-Body-Left/Right and featured RBs. Their RBs won Heisman after Heisman. The best RBs wanted to be there. Not any more.
