The “actual” stakes won’t be that high, but I think both teams will treat it like a playoff series. Let’s see if we can flip a switch. And with all the wild cards now, pennant races don’t matter that much and the casuals are waiting till October to tune in. But we’ve developed a nice little rivalry with the Dodgers the last few years, and more eyes might be on this series with probably the 2 best teams in baseball facing off in what could be a preview if another NLCS matchup. And home field will be in play at least some. If somebody goes off, that may jump them in the front of the MVP race. Rightly or wrongly.
