I received an email from LSU today to make requests for post season tickets. Did anyone else receive this email today? In the email it lists all the possible bowl games LSU has a chance to go to. Should I just make requests for all of them? Any advice is appreciated. I copied and pasted part of the email.

Independence Bowl - 12/28/08 - $25-$35-$45
Papajohns.com Bowl - 12/29/08 - $40
Music City Bowl - 12/31/08 - $50-$70
Chick-fil-A Bowl - 12/31/08 - $80
Outback Bowl - 1/1/09 - $65
Capital One Bowl - 1/1/09 - 80
Cotton Bowl - 1/2/09 - $100
Liberty Bowl - 1/2/09 - $50

The only Bowl I would definitely not order is the Independence Bowl because I'm sure I already have tickets for that game and If I don't I doubt they would be hard to come by.

Say I didn't request any tickets, would tickets for say the Outback or Chick-Fil-A-bowl(2 bowls I think were most likely to go to) be overpriced on Ebay or Stubhub do to high demand and low inventory?

I've read on here that we have no chance to go to the Indy Bowl because there are not enough bowl eligible SEC teams unless Auburn beats the Gumps. Even then everyone says there's no chance we go to the Indy bowl. Too bad. I wouldn't have to travel.

You are very wrong...They would be very hard to come by...

For some people yes, for others no. The only reason people would not get to go to the Indy bowl is because of the size of the stadium. Price of tickets is not a factor. You can go to the Indy Bowl website right now and order tickets for $25.

If we lose to Ark there should not be one player that wants to go to a bowl. We don't need to be taking the spoils.

Good point. The Chick-Fil-A (Peach) Bowl routinely picks a SEC east team which looks like South Carolina but we did beat them. You would think LSU looks more attractive.

I have to fix what I said about the Chick-Fil-A bowl picking a SEC east team. I believe its the Outback bowl that routinely picks a east team. Maybe I'm confused all together.

When did they drop the "Peach" from the Peach Bowl?

'06 was the first year without Peach in the name.

Do we secretly root for Clemson to beat South Carolina in order for LSU to secure the Chic-Fil-A (assuming LSU wins)?

Maybe. LSU could go to the Outback Bowl -- and get Michigan State or Iowa or somebody easy to beat. >_>

No, we root for SOUTH CAROLINA to beat Clemson. The Outback Bowl usually always picks an SEC East Team. With a loss to Clemson, they would more than likely pass on S CAR and choose us. Root for S CAR to win and make them a more attractive pick for the Outback Bowl that would send us to the Chick-Fil-A bowl.

Question: Outback ? Chick-Fil-A

Which bowl would you prefer? I think getting Iowa/Northwestern/Michigan State would be much better for the team to match up with than possibly getting an ACC team that can throw the ball.
