Word on the street: Harris Co. Judge Lina Hidalgo is planning on resigning today?

Please, God, let this be true.
For any non-Houstonians ….
Hidalgo is currently in hiding (out of state), claiming inpatient treatment for depression.
Many believe she’s dodging much deeper ethics violations.
In addition to a criminal probe re: an illegal contract that came out of her office (she awarded—then canceled—an $11 million contract for COVID-19 vaccine), a “computer failure” in her office led to the premature release of 300 people from the Harris County Jail.
Hidalgo’s grossly negligent misapplication of misdemeanor bail reform to repeat, violent offenders has led to devastating crime numbers.
I won’t comment on her insane woke policies or her attempt to shut down the city during Covid.
She’s also very likely only in office due to election improprieties that are currently being investigated by the state.
She’s an unhinged Beto and Soros sycophant whose priority is building Democratic celebrity status.
I eagerly await this twat’s fall.

I hate Dora more than any politician on Earth.

Don't get too excited... she could be replaced by SheJack!

She should be in jail next to her subordinates

And yet somehow she won re-election. At first I thought it was bc she was Latino and on a hot beto ticket the first time. But winning re-election against another Latino the last go round made me lose all faith in our ability to overcome the pending collapse of our great country

I live in Harris and have no idea what she does. I'm not even sure I remember what a county judge does in theory besides approve county department budgets and issue liquor licenses.

County Judge has more power than the mayor.
* I'm being a little biased though. Turner is a pretty powerful mayor. I just really hate Dora.

She presides over Commissioner’s Court.
Tho she thinks she’s Mayor, Police Chief, Governor, and every other elected position wrapped into one hideous Cosplay package.

And she hold principal responsibility for emergency preparedness and disaster response.
COVID lockdowns and mask mandates are still fresh in my mind. That's why I hate her, lol.

Thats preposterous. Houston is the city that city planning orphaned. Biggest clusterfck of a "city" I have ever seen
At least you only have to stay jammed in traffic slightly less than Atlanta
cant think of anything else positive about Houston
You're welcome.
