In 1906 Alexandria, LA recorded 44 days of temps over 100°

During that time they had two separate streaks of 6 days in a row of 100° heat
The first A/C was invented in 1902 but was not installed in homes until 1914
Could you have made it 44 days in 100° heat with no A/C?
I bet swamp arse was bad and people just flat-out stunk

1911 heat wave killed 40k in France, so I'm thinking the answer is, "No."

Tempers flared at the Traffic Circle that summer, that I can tell you.

Just googled this question...
I would like to ask the author to explain the heat wave in 1906, and since the author attributed dangerous heat waves to man-made emmissions, we emitted almost 0 GHG in 1906. Yeah, people burned wood in their homes. Not much else.
Of course, when you google it, there's article after article like this.
It's was around 68 and low humidity this morning here in NC. Almost chilly. My parents still live in AL.. they are getting that heat too. Unbearable.

What's causing the current heat wave?
The researchers found that greenhouse gas emissions are not only making extreme heat waves — the world's deadliest weather events — more common, but that they've made the current heat waves hotter than they would have otherwise been by multiple degrees Fahrenheit — a finding, Otto said, that wasn't surprising.

Glad to see Ellick getting some attention here lately. It's the crossroads of Louisiana, after all.

I bet the traffic circle stunk like manure and was amplified by the heat

In before “Global warming is fake and created by the left”.
Oops. I was too late.

Climate change isn't fake. Manmade climate change is

The, "People were tougher back in the old days and people these days are just weak and spoiled by air conditioning." line that people love is a fallacy. Heatwaves then were more deadly, particularly in the slums of cities.

1906 was the tail end of the Second Industrial Revolution. CO2 levels were at all time highs

Why isn't that term used anymore?

This is a very inconvenient fact that must be denied, or changed, to fit the agenda.

Also the same year Central LA (mental) Hospital was built.
