Discovered Stick Figure last year and have really gotten to enjoy them. Southern California reggae band that has released several albums, their most recent (Wisdom) being last September.

Just really chill, positive music. Their older stuff is great also. Saw them in Vegas back in June live and it was an amazing show.

Check ‘em out.

I'm a fan of that whole cohort:

Slightly Stoopid
Pepper
The Expendables
Iration
Dirty Heads

Lots of fun reggae being made these days.

Huge fan of Stick Figure, favorite song is Livin It and I like him and TJ Oneills cover of A Pirate Looks at 40

Crazy fact is he was a one man band for the beginning and majority of his albums.

I like them all.

The best thing about technology such as Pandora.....I went to a 311 concert, Slightly stoopid opened for them. Started listening to Slightly Stoopid radio on Pandora....found out about the rest named above. Its my favorite summertime music!

Blasphemer.

If Kyle and Miles are boycotting this iteration of Sublime, I stand with 'em.

Stick Figure is great. Seen them like 5 times. Saw them, Pepper, and The Elovators at Red Rocks earlier this summer.

My favorite reggae album is Set in Stone by Stick Figure. I can listen to every song on that album, front to back. What’s crazy about Stick Figure, is it’s ONE guy making all the music. I suggest watching his free flow sessions on YouTube. It’s like 2 minute improv songs, but shows how he makes the music.

Love the entire genre, and love that a lot of them are now collaborating on songs too. Just saw The Expendables, Iration, and Rebelution at Dillon Amphitheater on Sunday. Good times.

I can't tell you how happy I am to see other people like this type of music. I just flew to Orlando a few weeks ago to see Stick Figure, The Elovaters and Pepper.

You guys named a bunch of them already, but here is a good list to check out if you're into this vibe.

The Elovaters, Dirty Heads, Slightly Stoopid, Sublime With Rome, Pepper, Rebelution, Ballyhoo!, Common Kings, Mahali, Iration, KBong, SOJA, Long Beach Dub Allstars, & Matisyahu.

And maybe someone you have never heard of that is really chill arse vibes is Trevor Hall. Highly recommend.

Some other similar artists, but I only like a few of their songs:

Fortunate Youth - Good Times (Roll On)
George Spits & Slightly Stoopid - Too Stoned
Ras MG - Words
Simplified - Wake 'N Bake
Simplified - Into the Mystic
Sun-Dried Vibes - Walk Away
The Ambassador - Give Thanks
Little Stranger - I'm Fine
The Movement & Slightly Stoopid - Sounds of Summer
The Hip Abduction & Trevor Hall - Pacific Coast Highway
Tribal Seeds - In Your Eyes
Matisyahu & Mihali - Storm Tossed

Enjoy!

How are they boycotting? Have tickets to SWR and Slightly Stoopid next Friday.

Sublime With Rome has some killer shite, never understood the hate. And this is coming from a huge Sublime fan.

They share bills with them, but both K and M have been vocal about hating on Rome. They are still loyal to Brad, since he signed them to Skunk.

I’ve been a fan of this music for about 6 years now. Not many of these bands come to south LA though.

I saw Iration at the Varsity in 2018. Fortunate Youth opened for them.

I saw Rebelution, Stephen Marley and Common Kings in Vegas in 2018.

I went to Cali to see a bunch of bands at a festival held at the Long Beach harbor. Cali One Love was the name of the festival. Saw Stick, Rebelution, Elovaters, The Movement and others. I stayed on an Airbnb boat in the harbor.

I’m glad others on this board enjoy this music.

I think it was the Pandora Chill Out station that led me to Stick and then the others from there.

I went to a Tomorrows Bad Seeds concert back in 2012 or so and this band called Stick Figure was the opener. Been a huge fan ever since. It sucks they don't make it out here much, but ive seen them 6 times now and they get better every time.

KBong plays the keys for Stick on tour. But KBong has a lot of great tunes himself. Give him a listen.
