I was a weekend smoker for years, only smoking when I was drinking. It got to the point where I couldn’t tell if I was smoking so I can drink or drinking so I can smoke. I decided to quit cold turkey and haven’t had 1 cigarette since. Here’s a few things to keep in mind: the first 2 weeks are the worst so keep busy, the cravings may subside but they never go away, taking a drag here and there sets you back to square one, find something that occupies your attention when you have a craving (I used bubble gum and Altoids). You can do it but you have to want to do it

This is just about where I am. I’ll do well for a weekend, then REALLY want one the next weekend, so I’ll cave. I’ve done it before, but I need to put it behind me for good this time. It’s when that buzz comes on strong, that my willpower is the worst.
