Man the Mariners can EAD right now. Look at this stretch of schedule they're in
Royals
Their bitches
White Sox
Royals
A's
They may well run their winning streak up to 15. But hopefully they face plant at the finish line.
September starts with a Seattle to New York flight to start a 10 game road trip.
@ Mets
@Reds
@Rays
Tampa -> Seattle flight
Angels
Dodgers

@Rangers

Mariners are the most complete team in the division and they should win the division. Wouldn't want to play them in the playoffs, but Astros won't have to worry about that.

Thx for heads up
First time I saw it completely
A lot can happen in 6 weeks

Im starting to think all 3 teams get in. I also like the Mariners to win the division with us and Texass being the 5 and 6 seeds. But it's going to be close. It's baseball....Mariners look awesome now but in 3 weeks, who knows?

And that last Rangers series is a 4 game series for them…so the Mariners play 7 of their last 10 against the Rangers with the other three against the Stros

Can't remember when each player in the line up had a hit, with most more than one. Must of been the last time FODB left Moldy out of the line up.

It will undoubtedly come down to those last 10 games
All 3 teams are evenly matched
Astros should have a slight advantage, but Baker likely negates that

Not if 3/5 of our rotation don't get their heads out of their asses
Second half ERAs
Framber 6.18
Brown 5.56
Javier 5.00

The reality of the situation as it nears finality will almost ensure that Baker stops getting in the way
Diaz will catch more, and they will still sing the praises of The Whisperer putting together the gameplan after his hours of devotion to film
Watching that lazy SOB behind the plate does not conjure any thoughts of hard work in the film room. When your defense is awful and your bat the same, no way you're selling me on your preparation being anything other than awful

Really really need a good outing from JV tonight. Tired of watching our so called top shelf SP give up 6 plus ER every outing and having to depend on inconsistent lineups that are handcuffed by their manager.

I remembered an off season conversation we had about Chas so I went back and found it. We took a bit of umbrage at MLB Network ranking Chas as a top 10 center fielder

Hey I optimistically called a 20 home run season for him

MLBN recently ranked Chas number 10 among all MLB CFs. Do you feel like he’s overrated?
His slugging went down .40 compared to his season in 2021. Also, his average went down, his WAR is only 1.3, his OPS went down, his strikeouts went up, his RBIs went down as well.

CF is pretty weak overall, but yeah that seems a few spots high.
Recency bias from that WS catch.
Shane

I don’t think he’s top 10 but top 15 seems right. Also a little subjective with plenty of guys splitting time between CF and a corner.

Overrated at 10. But I'm actually optimistic about Chas this year. Remember he was briefly demoted but got called back up like a week later when Brantley was injured. He hit acceptably from late June onward. I think best case given the opportunity as starter he hits .260, acceptable OBP and 20 Homer's

I'm not going look it up, but I remember saying that for Chas to make the transition from a platoon guy to a starter, he would have to handle the inside pitch
Handle it he did. He made the necessary adjustments, which did seem to affect his already patented oppo abilities, but he has recently shown he still can get to the away pitches
Along with Tucker, they have done some heavy lifting

Hey look at that. I'm not wrong 100% of the time.

If not for the April injury and the May struggles after he came back, he could flirt with a 30 home run season. He might still but he'll have to finish August with a few more and have a torrid September.
His 2nd half so far has been absurd. He's hitting .330 with 11 homers in the second half. Look up Springers seasons with the Blue Jays and tell me Chas isn't cloning him at a fractional price.

Bregman has secretly had a decent year, esp as 3rd basemen go, but his price tag and his general lack of mobility dampen things
Without the production from Tucker and Chas at essentially no cost, Bregman's season would be considered only less disappointing than Abreu

I'd just like to see someone throw a strike on the first pitch at this point instead of starting off 2-0.

Last night’s win was the first of ten in a row for the Stros. Book it.

I would settle for going into the bottom of the first at 0-0 after seemingly getting bum rushed in the first a lot lately.
