My dad would say similar when I was a teen wanting something I couldn't afford.

"All you need is a pocket full of money"

My dad also has some head scratchers that I've never heard anywhere else:
"Hot as a risin' "
"Garden seed"(Normally used in an exclamatory manner)
"Runs like a spotted arse ape"(used interchangeably with scalded dog)

I'm sure someone else has heard these, but I haven't met them.


He would wake my brothers and I up with "off your arse and on your feet, out the shade and in the heat"

I'm not sure what OP was going for, but those are weak dad quotes.
