Travis Kelce - Your Fantasy Football Unicorn

I know he continues to get hype and guys who talk fantasy continue to pump him up more and more, but the numbers don't lie. Puts up WR1 numbers and can easily be a weekly advantage when matched up against every other team in your league.
*Disclaimer, yes you can frick things up if you continue down a path that doesn't surround Kelce with some great talent, but to be able to possibly get 4-Wide production from your lineup its worth it.
In most leagues you can stack Kelce/Mahomes and build from there. Not a bad idea. FYI

Did a mock the other day at pick 7 and took him. Ended up with a decent team around him
Ended up with:
Lamar
A. Jones
A. Mattison
A St Brown
Mike Williams
Kelce
Pickens
In a PPR setting that's not a bad looking team at all

I’d rather stack Lamar with Andrews and have my 1st rd pick back.

I agree. I just don’t like my teams with the value you have to pay to get Kelce and/or mahomes.

I’m all in on kelce in the early/mid first but I’m not going qb first to have the “stack” . Way too much value on the board be grabbing a qb in round 2 or even 3

Why is everyone suddenly into stacking? I get it in best ball, which is probably when it became a hot concept, but for regular fantasy football, just take the best player at the position. If I end up with a natural stack, that's fine but I'm not going out of my way for it.

It’s been around since FF started. It’s not new.
It has tremendous upside. And with so many people now relying on what the experts say, most drafts will look the same unless you roll the dice.
My QBs were Kyler and Dak last year. Stacked Hollywood and Lamb. Every week I had a punchers chance to flip the score on 1 or two plays.

Of course it has, but no one thought about it and no one called it stacking. Hell, my first fantasy team had Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and John Taylor. I guess I had the double stack.
Sure you can have huge weeks, but you also get shite weeks. If you play in a league that pays for a weekly high score, great. Otherwise you have better than a punchers chance if you pick the best player and don't worry whether you can stack him or not.

What I’m saying is way more people have a printout from “experts” or pay for software compared to when you had to rank Montana vs Elway.
Most drafts will play out the same. So if you have a strong feeling about a player, there is a strategy to double down on your feeling.
If you think D. Watson will exceed his ADP, why not grab Cooper or E.Moore and virtually assure a playoff spot if you’re right? If Watson shines, he has to throw to someone.
Would you rather a 60% chance a RB finishes top 24 or a 10% he finishes #1? If you like a balanced lineup, avoid the stack. If you like boom or bust, go after the stack.
And that’s not true at all. You might not have. But others have been for a long time.

I don’t think the data supports this. Stacking is fun though.

It definitely does. But also has tremendous downside.
Example…last year you draft Aj Brown as your #1 wr bc you like his skill set. A few rds later you need a QB and you have Kyler and Russell Wilson ahead of Hurts on your rankings but they are close.
You say to yourself, well I like AJ and he is my #1. So for him to do well, Hurts needs to perform. Let’s role the dice and bump up Hurts a few spots…that decision is a League championship.

It’s a bad idea to go for top QB and TE.
One or neither can work.
