I don't agree with all of these, but Pate is one of the best there is. Also, the JP poll uses a bunch of data to put these together. It's not just his opinion.

My understanding of his rankings is that they give weight to the last 3-5 years, obviously last season is weighed most heavily but he is giving program standings not team standings.
With the way 2020 and 2021 went, I think 7 is perfect.
The only thing that doesn’t add up to me is Texas. They haven’t won shite.

Tell me you don’t watch Late Kick without telling me you don’t watch Late Kick. Lol it’s not his opinion. He outright disagrees with the poll at times.
