The play calls have been for deeper passes and he’s had to check down due to the fact that’s what LA is expecting.

He’s had to check down bc he only throws the ball if someone is wide open. He has no processing ability.
It is what it is. We’re fricked if Carr goes down. Would like to see more of Haener just bc it’s possible he can improve, but whatever.

I was screaming the dude didn't have the juice in 2020 before Brees retired. It was a mistake moving forward with him and handing him the reigns. Dude is a complete flameout and the biggest dork.
It's hard watching him try to play quarterback because the dude looks like he is playing online with a perpetual lag. Everything is slow. His movements, reaction times, processing. Just everything is delayed.
I was gassing up Haener all last fall & winter and during draft season and said when we drafted him that I'd not be surprised to see Jameis hit the road after Haener beats him out. Haener plays like a real quarterback, not simply a thrower of the ball.
