"Extraordinarily grounded": His time at the Airforce Academy had a lot to do with his maturity. As he said last Fall, having to get up at 5:00 a.m. every day built in self discipline that few college kids ever get till mabe later in life. Look at his main charity, a fund for families who lost a family member in the course & scope of his service to America. Not your typical charity.

He was probably mature way before then. It's why dudes like Skenes choose a place like the AFA in the first place.

I give that experience the credit for his unbelievable consistency this season.
You rarely see that consistency from a collegiate athlete.
