WOuld you rather RS come in next year as a true freshmen and have another 9-3 or 8-4 season but the following year him be lights out(very very realistic) or would you rather take our chance on the other guys.

Not gonna happen! Miles, for some reason, plays experience over raw talent! Sheppard doesn't play next year unless Lee and JJ go down

This is what I'd like to see...and I think it has a very realistic shot of happening

I'd like to see the best man between Jarrett Lee & Jordan Jefferson become our #1A quarterback, the guy who takes the majority of the snaps. Whoever proves themself between spring camp and fall practices wins the job, no questions asked.

THEN, I'd like to see our boy Russell Shep (if he grasps enough of the offense) become our #1B quarterback, the "running" quarterback if you will. This way, experience comes his way for the future. And yes, we would occasionally throw it with him. Think the role Tim Tebow played his freshman year at UF, and then your vision matches mine.

at WR

This is based on the times I've seen him play in person.

After reading this board lately I wouldn't be surprised one bit if RS decommits. Who wants to come play for a bunch of whinning bitches.

I agree with this but in addition I can see GC using Shep in other roles as well to exploit his athleticism and get him comfortable playing in a college game. Think about JJ at QB and Shep in the slot. The possibilities are limitless. I also believe GC should have a scripted series for each game at a specific time for Shep to QB the team. I can't for the life of me understand why this didn't happen for JJ all year. It limits the playbook to specific plays, allows the Frosh to get his feet wet and calm his nerves. Not to mention with the athleticism he displays he can always make something happen with his legs. Win-Win situation. As long as he don't put the Defense in a hole (pick 6).

Goat just go to the boards of any other major program. there are whiney bitches on them as well. difference is the admin on this board allows people to voice their opinion (as long as it is not vulgar or demeaning). On the other boards most non rah-rah posts are whacked.

I could be wrong but i think JJ has the tools & intangibles to be a really special qb. You can bet they will have a package for shep and i can't see him playing any position other than qb. that kind of talent has to have the ball in his hands every play.
