I dont know but I think it might. We played a decent Sunbelt team that looked like they had the same speed as the Tigers. I dont believe this is the case. I think poor footing can several affect the ability of top athletes. Maybe with better footing we could get better cuts, crisper routes, maybe juke someone out of there shoes for once.
Tiger Stadium needs field turf

Prompted by the field conditions thread I think its time to discuss field turf in Tiger Stadium. I know purist would not agree but I think our field conditons are the great equalizer of the teams speed. We recruit some of the fastest althelets but still appear slow at times. I would love to give our players a nice pristine field turf and see if the speed and cuts increase. We are slowing our guys down with bad turf and to me there is no excuse for this.
