If you had to choose one restuarant to eat at which one would you pick and why?

I'll be going to Stella the night after so I'm also looking for something a bit different than that.

Thanks

Cuvee is the better of the two IMO...many on here will disagree, but I have been to Bayona 3 times in the last 6-8 months and it has gone downhill.

Stella! and Cuvee are similar. If you want some contrast I would go Stella!/Galatoire's or Commander's. Then you would have the whole new line/old line thing working for you.

Bayonna. Cuvee chef trained under Boswell at Stella!. Plus the food at Bayona is more rustic than Cuvee.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm staying away from Galatoire's and Commander's, been there too many times. Just trying to try some new places.

Bayona is great on some days, just inconsistent. Cuvee is ok. There are many better restaurants than these 2. Are you trying to stay downtown?

Pelican Club was the 1st choice but they are closed for the hollidays. I'm open to other suggestions. Those were just the two the wife narrowed it down to. But we can't get into Cuvee until 9pm so we may be looking elsewhere.

Stella and Bayona or Cuvee? NICE..

I would say choose a creole place and not all ecletic places. Maybe even a KPauls and a Stella. Or even La Boca or Rio Mar and Stella

The wife and I aren't really big on Creole places for the most part, or maybe we are just burnt out on them. We're also trying to avoid the Brennan's and Emeril's places.

We are also hitting up Dante's Kitchen for Brunch on Saturday. It's going to be a big foodie weekend.

Then the options I gave are still in play. K-Pauls is Cajun. La Boca is Argentine steakhouse and Rio Mar is the same owners doing more seafood.

For brunch on Sunday go to Cafe Amelie on Royal street. Best kept secret in NOLA.

I find that the best places are uptown:
Brightsen's, Upperline, Dick & Jenny's, One, and Clancy's

Also Downtown there is:
Bon Ton Cafe, Cochon, Mr.B's, and Irene's

Best value in the city as far as i'm concerned. Make sure you get a side of biscuits and and side of grits.
