Are the $275 boots really worth it?

I mean they are definitely more comfortable and give you a better feel of the ball, but probably not worth paying an extra $80-$100.

There are usually 3-4 tiers for each boot model. The entry level, Club, Academy, and Pro level -the Club and Academy tiers are just fine for most 11 year olds.

Cleats also fit differently than regular shoes and should also be a half size too small.

They ARE, but your 11 year old isn't good enough to get anything out of them.

Soccer cleats and running shoes kind of work the same way. For 95% of people, the $100-125 level is PLENTY of shoe.

Under no circumstances should a serious runner or soccer player use off-brand or $35 shoes. (Unless you hate your feet.)
