In 2018 Purdue boat races a stunned Ohio State team in a prime time game. That place was jumping that night and it was the talk of the college football world.
But Purdue can't hold their weight.
CFB needs the teams like Purdue. It's what makes it special.

those are the games that the "casual" college football fan watches.
I remember watching App state beat Michigan at 11am. I was late getting out to tailgate for the LSU game b/c i didn't want to leave my apartment and wanted to see the upset.
That's one of the funnest things about college football, the big upset. If you aren't a fan of college football, then that big upset is meaningless to you. I can watch Iowa State beat a top ranked Oklahoma and see them storm the field and think, "man it would be awesome to be at that game right now", even though i don't really care about Iowa State or Oklahoma. But i'm watching and wanting to be there.

Didn’t that game also have that young man who was dying of cancer and finally made it to a big Purdue game and they absolutely wrecked shite? What a moment that was. I believe he’s since passed on. The NFL can never have those types of moments.
