I figured with the richest man in babylon it'd be cool to read a book from like 1927 about how cool the stock market is before it crashed but it's not very useful

C’mon… yeah, that’s the author’s experience, but the take-away is introducing an investment philosophy of “heads I win, tails I don’t lose much” to the reader.
It has served me well.
