I did a vehicular homicide plea/sentencing for 5 years a few years ago, with the judge who is the harshest on DWIs, at that.
*ETA: and he was a baw, certainly not a pro athlete

3-5 year sentence in prison is normal here for DUI manslaughter. Especially if you don't have a prior record.
