I'm likely moving to Hamburg this fall. Going to be a huge adjustment but I'm looking forward to learning the language, better work-life balance and the opportunity to travel around Europe economically. Even with the tax increase I'll be making almost 80% more and working at least half as much.
The only thing about Northern Germany is the cold winters and wet conditions. I've been told it's similar to Vancouver's weather patterns.
