Eat healthy, get a steady gym routine, and start running. Find healthy outlets and things to do on the weekends. After a few months you will feel the difference. Go see a hair dresser for a fresh cut. Find a hot young one if you like. Go in and give them free reign. Say you just need a refresh, and give them a few cues. Update you wardrobe. Get a few new pieces for work, some new shoes to start off. Then work in some new pieces for after hours. It's a process. Slowly you'll find what makes you happy, and what makes you feel good. On top of being in better shape and health, and having a better look, you'll have confidence and genuine happiness which will attract the female gaze. You aren't ready yet, and that's ok. Stick with it and you'll get there. Don't chase alcohol, and don't chase a new relationship. Wake up everyday with the goal getting better than you were yesterday. It's not a fun ride, but eventually your better than yesterday will be better than you've ever been.
Side note, I've always worked out, so I just adjusted my schedule and got more adventurous with my healthy cooking as only had to appease my palette. I also fricking hated running with a passion, but it's one of the things I most look forward to now. It allows me to disconnect and just listen and feel my body get in rhythm while I listen to music or a Ted Talk or Podcast. Also when it's time to start bringing ladies back for some nite caps, a stronger heart and increased lung capacity come in very handy in the bedroom.
