If it matters that much to you or her, start locking the door at random times when you aren’t having sex so the locked door doesn’t necessarily mean anything specific and your kid can start understanding boundaries.

This. A 5-year-old is old enough to learn that you should knock on a closed bedroom door anyway. The adult bedroom should be a place of quiet and privacy. Trust me it’s not child abuse.
