I saw 2 guys fighting at Sonic
Posted on 7/28/23 at 11:01 pm to This GUN for HIRE
I was behind an old guy on a motorcycle, pavement was wet from recent rain.He was in left lane with a car in front of him, there was a pickup in right lane next to the car.
Light turns red,he puts on brakes and rear end went out from under him.He and motorcycle hit the pavement, perpendicular to the lane and bounced back up.Motorcycle straightened itself up and took off down the road between the car and pickup without touching either one.
As it traveled down the road motorcycle stared veering off to right and ran off road and crashed under an overpass. His helmet came off and he had a gash in side of his forehead,I was holding pressure on it with some napkins when cop got there. He initially thought the old guy was a pedestrian and I had hit him with my truck.I pointed out the helmet on the side of the road and told him the motorcycle was under the overpass.
He just said that’s not something you see every day.
Another motorcycle story-I was on Navy Shore Patrol in Rota Spain and we were dispatched to a wreck one morning involving a sailor. We had just got there and a woman pulled up all excited and said a man on a motorcycle had just got ran over by a car up the road.I took off and came to a car in the ditch and a motorcycle in the road.Didn’t see anybody laid out but there were a few people clustered up talking, including a Spanish Marine with his back to me.I asked where was the motorcycle rider, someone said it was the Spanish Marine,I tapped him on the shouder and he turned around. They wore blue pants and white tunic,he had a perfect tire track across his chest. I asked him if he had any pain and he said no.He looked pretty pale,I wanted to call an ambulance but he said no,one of the bystanders would take him to the base.
He wasn’t American so I couldn’t make him,I guess he was ok.Never heard otherwise.
