Be prepared for the 10 year anniversary release in select theaters for next year...

i'm scheduled to see Oppenheimer tomorrow night at this theater in 70mm IMAX and if this image is true, i can't wait to get tickets for this as well. that docking scene is going to be insane in 70mm IMAX.

That’s a nice slate.

Might have to ride up and catch Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Nice, I’m going to the 3:15 showing of Oppenheimer there today. I would make the drive back for that docking scene in IMAX

We went last weekend to the Regal @ Mall of Georgia and it was worth the ~2-hour drive.

Even with movies like Oppenheimer 70mm film projection is likely almost dead. Go see them while you can and embrace the inherent quirks of film. We apparently had a good projectionist, it appears some others were not so lucky.

I saw this in 70mm IMAX after seeing it in digital IMAX. It’s stunning… wish I could have unseen it and first experienced it in 70mm. Seeing Oppenheimer in 70mm this Sunday

Genuinely the most riveting 3 mins I've ever had in a movie theater. I can't imagine what it would have been like to see it in IMAX with that sound.

Zimmer's use of the pipe organ is also one of the most ingenious uses of instrumentation in the history of cinema scores. The fact he lost to the fricking Wes Anderson score for the Oscar is proof we a living in a simulation. There just isn't any way that should have happened.

All those movies are good but I bet Interstellar and Close Encounters are bad arse in IMAX.
