Nobody hates the nerd. They feel sorry for them.
I think this is close to the truth. DeSantis is well-liked, but that is not what drives Presidential races. People are looking for candidates who inspire them. That’s why height is so important. DeSantis simply does not have the charisma to win the Presidency by storm. In retrospect, he should have gone for the office the Truman, Biden, Ford, and George H W Bush way, work your way into the VEEP role and fall into the nomination.
