What’s the protocol this time of year? I’ve read to not use surfactant and temperature doesn’t matter. I’ve also read use surfactant and spray before temperatures get over 85 degrees and the ultimate temperature for the day doesn’t matter.

I've never had luck using it this time of year without it damaging my st aug. It takes a month or so for the grass to start growing again. I've had better luck with MSM this time of year. It doesn't fully kill the VBW but it suppresses it without harming my st aug as much.

Don’t do it
You will smoke your grass for two months, especially if you use surfactant
Wait until fall. Kill ‘em off with Celsius and then start to get preemergent schedule for every fall/spring. Over time your lawn will clear up and you won’t have to kill it off for two months

If used correctly it will be fine. Don’t overspray and don’t hold the nozzle too close to the ground. If your lawn is stressed ie. Drought stress then it can yellow it.

Surfactant and spray early morning or evening when temps are lower?
