Tips for best price on international flights

Going to Barcelona at end of May next year. Will be returning from Rome. Any tips on getting best flight prices? Will be leaving out of KC and another group leaving out of Houston.

Google Flights.
Be flexible with your dates, airlines, and arrival and departure airport. If you can't, then the price is gonna be the price.

Airlines have peak and off-peak pricing. Being flexible and traveling during off-peak can save money.

Same as said before, I've found the best prices when my dates (and hell even locations) are flexible.
