I did not know Jamarcus’ completion percentage was so high. I sorta remember Saban and coaches being so frustrated with him not reading the plays and hitting wide open receivers that there were times they were ready to bench him for Flynn.

If there was EVER an example of holding out of training camp as a rookie destroying someone’s NFL career it has to be Jamarcus.

Jamarcus only played in games one season under Saban in 2004 as a RS FR. He split time with Marcus Randall. Flynn was the 3rd string quarterback and threw 10 passes all season. Not sure what you’re recollecting there.

lol his NFL career was a flop because he was lazy. End of story. He gave zero effort once he signed his rookie contract.

This never happened

Jamarcus was VASTLY better than Flynn. If you want to see the difference, go look at the MSU game in 2006.

Flynn came in, in garbage time and was so bad they had to put JR back in. It was incredible.
