Took my kids to the mall+arcade over at Portland, Maine's mall and it was a perfect experience, only thing I noticed was a noticeable amount of white dudes with asian girlfriends.

Extreme northern climates might be the asterisk. Those people have nothing to do during the winter but go to the mall or go bowling.
