We have a pool that came with our house and have been enjoying more than we thought we would. But we let it go over the winter and have been unable to get the water back into a usable state--despite draining, re-filling, and shocking the shite out of the pool. Do any of you pay for a service to rehab and maintain an above-ground pool? If so, how much do you wind up paying?

Sounds like there might be an issue with the filter.

You need to go to trouble free pool and look up the SLAM process. You likely aren’t “shocking” long enough to kill everything.
