Here's the problem.

In order to be "medical care" one would assume it has some legitimate medical function and is used to treat something, successfully presumably. In the case of "gender affirming care," successful treatment would be "changing" the gender (sex) from one to the other.

Asa REFUSED to say that he agrees that can happen, AND YET continued to call it care and defer to parents. So...if he doesn't think it can happen, how can it be treatment...and if it's not treatment, why does he support a parent's right to subject a child to it?

This was pathetic Fence Sitting 101.

I think politicians are learning that they simply can't take a strong stance on much of anything these days. He can't rely on the geriatric vote because a large part of them are hard core Trump enthusiasts. He'll have to go after some of the younger crowd.

I'm guessing he's trying to carve out a small section of the party that are fence straddlers.
