All true, but critical theory can be used as a technique for perspective, and perhaps illuminating underlying motivations. For instance, Prof Kennedy reaches many of the same conclusions about the power structures of the legal system ( and the incestuous schools that feed them) as many posters do here based on instinct and observation. Critical Legal Studied just applies a formalism on the analysis
