quote:Agree with this. They could have done a series of movies dealing with the main Avengers going off to do their own thing, while Fury scrambles to find a new group of Avengers to defend earth. There are plenty of bad guys out there they could have used. That way Thor can go do Thor 3, the Guardians do GotG 3, Strange/Multiverse, etc, while they are putting together a new team.
They really should have taken a break and planned things out more.

the biggest issue is that there is no avangers movie set up in this phase and it’s looking like there may not be one next phase. the movies that make the billions are the ones that bring a lot of characters together.
non of these movies did totally surprising numbers
Spider-man was a huge hit
DS2 for a Doctor Strange Movie was an enormous success
Thor 3 was the 3rd highest grossing thor movie.
GOTG3 did slightly worst than GOTG2 but still made over 800 million
Antman didn’t go well but it was never a franchise that was making a billion dollars.
BP2 did well for a movie whose star died. 859 million is a good take.
but they’re spending waaay to much time stalling. they needed to have a tent pole ensemble movie and they haven’t had anything close to that since Spider-Man and I dont see one till maybe FF.
