Hate euphemisms in this scenario. Losing. Lose. Lost. Especially when we're "finishing second" in successive conference games. At home. How can you be serious about fixing it if you won't use the word?

He's said this after a couple of losses. May have misinterpreted, but I took it to mean finishing 2nd on the field.

You can look at it one of several ways:
"finishing second": losing
"We don't sustain finishing second very well": He doesn't think we earned anything more than we earned this year. By that I mean, we're third in the SEC West, and that's where we should be, in all honesty

Uhhhh...got that girl. Just throwing something out there to try to make the bizarre quote stick.
Going into the game we were 2nd in the West (even though both teams were 3-3 in conf, Ole Missy has one more loss overall, so they were 3rd in the Div). So SUSTAINING 2nd in the West would have meant that LSU had to WIN the game. That's my take.

He basically said LSU has not responded well since Alabama locked up the West with that emotional win against us two weeks ago, and he is right considering the past two games. Why does it bother you?
