Thank you Scott.
Obviously the coaches he brought in have won and done well. But does the rant think he is some kind of zen master of coaching hires? Not trying to flame or be a dick but weren’t all three hires proven commodities and were just hired on to a university with more funds, better facilities and fertile recruiting grounds. And we are shocked that produced positive dividends? It’s not like he found and unproven coach that came to LSU and then became the goat like Saban for example. I mean he gave his boy jimbo all the money and how is that working out.

If its that easy, why doesn't every school do it?

Don't know if it's related, but he was doing better when Scott was there.

I bet you knew who Brian Kelly was by name and past accomplishments before he was hired
I bet you knew who Kim Mulkey was by name and past accomplishments before she was hired
I bet you had no idea what the name of Arizona’s head baseball coach was before he was hired, and knew next to nothing about his accomplishments other than seeing Arizona in the CWS once or twice over the years
As LSU fans we now know everything about the guy’s background, from his days as a prep RB to coaching Kris Bryant and everything in between. But don’t let this recall bias obscure the fact that, back then, JJ was still a relative unknown to almost all of us and still an unknown commodity. He wasn’t even close to being on the radar for 99.999% of this board.

Virtually all elite coaches were hired onto their legacy job after being “proven commodities “
He knew coming here was his opportunity to win ChampionshipS. He has etched his name in LSU lore and is young enough that he could accomplish unprecedented things here.
Why put a wet blanket on a great time?

Working out pretty damn awesome, lol.
Scott goes big game hunting. He’s bagged us the heir apparent to Saban, and two national championship winners. Give the man his credit.
