Will plugging in sensitive electronics to a battery backup such as an EcoFlow while charging the EcoFlow with a standard portable generator give you clean power for your electronics? Just curious. I’m not by any means an expert on this!

if the electronics are DC (USB ports), then the dirty generator power wont really impact them. The issue will be whether the dirty power impacts the EcoFlow itself and whether the EcoFlow is a double conversion, always online UPS.

Are you sure the ecoflow can charge and provide output to AC loads at the same time?

They have AVR generators (Automatic Voltage Regulators)

Looks like you can find generators with low THD.

quote:

Total Harmonic Distortion is a means to measure the quality of electricity. 6% THD is considered the upper limit for "clean" electricity. Above 6% THD the electricity may reduce the life of electrical circuits, cause microprocessors to malfunction and cause furnace controllers to operate incorrectly.

Most of your sensitive stuff has an AC to DC converting power cord built in, is made to be used in countries where power is dirty and unreliable, and really is a non-issue.

I think this gets made into a much bigger issue than it actually is for most people. You need absolutely filthy power to endanger most normal home things.
