Yeah unfortunately it's true. I've owned putters from $35, up to $2K. It's the one club in my bag that I will baby, and the same thing happened to me with a couple Spyders. It's a paint failure.
In this day and age of the arms race for new releases of clubs, there's a lack of QC. TaylorMade seems to have it's share. Now days I tend to buy from smaller brands that specifically focus on just putters, or putters/wedges
