The easiest solution is to withhold pay for any star who refuses to play or pouts about not going to his big market preferred destination.

And then ban the agents who facilitate this shite.

I also think there should be a way to write into contracts clauses that reduce salary by 40-50 percent should a player request a trade.

Lastly, maybe there should be a cap on the number of max players a team can trade for in a given time period.

Like teams, cough cough, the Lakers, can only trade for a max player every five years.

Blew your wad already too bad. That would severely shrink the trade destination market and take the power away from big markets.

I like it. The status quo is unacceptable.

You really don’t see this shite in other leagues. Why do these nba guys think the world should revolve around them?

This ain’t the same as making $100k a year and picking where you work for happiness and advancement purposes. Some of these dudes are making $60M a year.

You really shouldn’t get to sign a 5 year max extension and then pull this shite a summer later.

And I get he wants to win and that he’s been more loyal than the typical player. But this is toxic as shite. And if it keeps happening, it’s ultimately not good for most of the franchises in the nba.
