At 14, my youngest got a job at the local donut shop. Saturday and Sunday mornings clocking in at 6am. I drove him sometimes, other times he rode his bike.
Got paid in cash and made tips. And all the donuts you can eat.
It's not difficult if you want it.

Well that’s awesome. We don’t have a “local donut shop”, certainly not one within any sort of bike riding distance. Not all of us live in urban/suburban areas.

Your kid’s circumstances are not his. Glad it worked out for yours. I’m just happy that he’s at least trying to come up with something so that he can invest. That’s his goal. The larger retailers anywhere close to us won’t hire him at 15, so he’s just looking for ideas. Nothing wrong with that.

Hire him around your house and work with him to teach him to work hard and do whatever job well. Pressure washing, painting, landscaping cutting grass. As he learns from you send him out to work for others. I learned so much working with my dad that has carried with me throughout my career at Mc Donalds (I kid). Learning from failures is important too but don't just watch him strap on some wax wings and jump off a cliff.

Drop shipping and drop servicing could work. Heck anything can work if executed properly. If he fails miserably he will learn a tremendous amount. If he succeeds he can buy you a nice place to retire to. I’d encourage him to become an expert at something involving ai. That skill is becoming very valuable and could lead to the kind of niche that could build a pretty sweet gig for a kid without any bills or obligations.
