They call it "Pride" to cover up their shame.

They know their activities are nasty. They know all the world's religions banned this behavior until recently. Most governments did too.

They know even their own families are ashamed of them.

"Pride" is them overcompensating and trying to make themselves feel better about the bad life choice they have made.
