Is there any statistical analysis showing reduced pitch counts reduce injuries in mature aged males?

In a vacuum, I’m not sure the pitch counts themselves are the issue.

The abnormality of the starts once June hit changed his workload rather drastically.

“He hasn’t thrown 9ip all season”… 6/02 did that

“He hasn’t thrown 120 pitches all year”…. Did that 3x in June 6/2, 6/17, 6/22

“He hasn’t thrown on short rest”… did that 6/22

Now 3 days rest? After throwing 240 in the last week?

I think he’ll go. For how long, idk. Expecting him to throw a normal outing is kinda crazy imo
