If he pitches, you start him. Cannot afford to let Fla get going early.

The game could be out of reach at that point. You start him, no question.

this is the way

If Skenes really can’t go for long and if the shadows at game time are a pitcher’s advantage, start the 2nd best arm available, then move to Skenes later after the lighting advantage shifts to the batters.
