Did they move Championship series up

They changed it a couple years ago.

they changed it last year from MTW to SAT SUN MON
problem is it only leaves one day for rain that might remove Fri as off day
Doesn't look like that will be an issue this year
they also went back to starting on Fri at beginning of CWS

They shortened the CWS
2 games Saturday
2 games Sunday
2 games Monday
2 games Tuesday
1 game Wednesday
1 game Thursday
2 games Friday
1 or 2 if necessary games Saturday
Then championship Monday-Wednesday.
Now they start it a day earlier and combined the two one game elimination days into one.

In a tournament like this with college arms, that was dumb. Now unless you have two 3-0 teams, everyone is gassed by the weekend with no rest. even if you are, maybe you get your day 1 starter in there but not your 2 and 3.
It puts the biggest series up with random arms usually.

Ideally it should be scheduled to have the number 1 pitchers go against each other in the first game of the finals. But then how many people can afford to take off for more than a week along with hotel costs. Even if they can afford all that WTF is there to do in and around Omaha for so many days.

Prob main reason they shortened it. But that's ALOT of baseball in a week.

This is what the 350 Travel Ball World Series they all played in prepared them for.
