we will have to beat wake without our top 3 arms twice.

If we beat Wake tonight, why wouldn't we pitch Skenes tomorrow? He would be on what is a standard 4 days rest at the pro level. He'll be doing that regularly, soon enough. He's a hoss, and I don't see this bothering him. Skenes with a "tired" arm is still throwing gas.

I would get him out if we get a big lead, but I don't see why he can't give us a hundred pitches Thursday and 50 on Monday. Presumptious as that may seem.

If the cws didn’t shorten the things then we might do it or be more tempted to do it.

We have been careful with Skenes all year and he is a 1.1 type guy.

We could also gamble that with wind blowing in it amplifies what we have left and no reason to throw him on short rest if others hold the rope.

I’d be surprised if we brought Skenes back and then again on Monday. I can’t recall JJ doing that with a starter, he might do it more with using high leverage bullpen guys.

I can’t see us all of a sudden using Skenes like Coleman or Big Ben was.

I think Floyd doing something on short rest would be more likely. Skenes may want to do it and ask for the ball though as he is a competitor.

While this is true, location will suffer as it was doing last game out late.
