From assorted reports, she was very interested in Princess Diana and read all about the family.
She had approached acquaintances and said she wanted to meet a rich Brit.
Someone suggested Harry. She sought out and wore his Mother's favorite perfume and first date played hard to get.
Continues to wear 'that' perfume and became easy. Harry wrote that he felt as if his Mother were with them.

Then the third date to Botswana.

No doubt the royal family has plenty of issues. But Harry has been working the system for 40 years and for 36 was doing okay. Also it seems there are the more public tracks that King Charles and Prince William take, and the less public tracks that one can take if they do not or cannot be a part of the show. After the Epstein scandal, it seems Prince Andrew was forcibly pushed to the less public track. Harry at first seemed like he was going that way until it didn't get him/her what they want.

Contrast this with the Markle family. Seems like Meghan gets along with nobody.
