what happened with this kid?
Posted on 11/21/08 at 10:11 am to SlowFlowPro
from all reports the staff would have loved to have him, just could not get the grades.

Miles got burned early on kids with bad grades. He rarely offers now unless the recruit has grades and ability to pass ACT.

to be honest I saw him against STM and he didnt look like anything special to me
imho no big loss

He's very good sideline to sideline against run coverage and blitzes because of his speed.
I do agree with you that he's a project. But has the ability to be very good with a good amount of coaching.
ETA: I just generalized every recruit around the country, but you get the idea.

i think he's a better safety prospect

that and he is tiny and not that good.

i've watched him play, he isn't LSU material

Wouldn't the correct answer to this be DJ Banks? From the Rivals100 watch list to, like, 3 D1 offers.

ULL should be all over him, he is a sun belt level player with his speed

"LSU material".....Ive watched Lsu defense plenty this year and I think he would fit right in.

Yeah D.J. really made a name for himself as a freshman and sophomore at St. Fred's. But when he transferred, he started playing against much tougher competition.

Tahj is still very much in the mix.Bradly Dale and Les are in contact with him at least once a week. His grades are in order right now.He has taken the ACT twice. He was 3pts shy of what he needed last time;scheduled to take it again in 2wks.Tahj is a must get per Les and Bradly Dale.He is in the top 2 on their LB board.J.Jones being the other.

Has he gotten a committable offer? Why hasn't he committed?
Posted on 11/21/08 at 3:38 pm to Hodson 4Heisman
Tahj was offered last FEB,but the football guidance counselor asked LES and Bradly Dale to hold off on taking it.He needed to take care of things in the class room and she feared he might slack off with the offer in hand.It has worked as his grades reflect;trying to get ACT out the way. They are holding a spot for him.

5'8" is why he is not a major recruit.
