Mind is less than 5 years old and I replaced pretty much all the mechanical parts on it this summer but then again I leave it in the pool all the time and am not surprised some of the parts wore out. It gets a hard workout climbing the sides and that's some serious torque on that one drive wheel.

I was told a long time ago that all the robots no matter the manufacturer pretty much have an underwater timer on them for sealed parts. I take mine out as soon as it is done with its cleaning session clean it
And store it in the basement.
