Old gas backpack blower giving up the ghost and that blower has similar specs (CFM/MPH) as the 670. Current blower is plenty powerful enough so going with the 765 is not necessary (given what I have experience with).

I have the EGO mower (and all the other stuff) so the only reason I may opt for the 765 is the 5ah battery vs the 4ah battery on the 670.

Option 1 Specs
765-CFM
200-MPH
5 Ah (Battery & Charger Included)
$299 on sale at Lowes

Option 2 Specs
670-CFM
180-MPH
4 Ah (Battery & Charger Included)
$249.00 on sale at Lowes

Thoughts?

For $50 I'd go for the 5ah battery in a heartbeat.

Will also make a great backup for your mower if you ever need it.

Eta I use my 5 in my chainsaw, hedge trimmer, blower and string trimmer as well as extra juice for the mower when I need it. It's a hoss

Another option here. If you have a quality battery from the mower then you could opt to purchase the blower alone. I see the 765 is on sale for $190 through Amazon.
Not sure I'd lug around that blower with a 7.5 Ah battery though.

You certainly don't need the 5.0 for a blower unless you're using it all day long

Option 1.

Has anyone ever said "I wish I would have purchased a blower with less cfm and a smaller battery"?

Option 1 for sure if you have a larger area to work on. It'll also be very nice when you swap it amongst other tools that you have. I have the 530 CFM blower and it does just enough for my property while also being able to use it on the string trimmer.

EGO actually has a trimmer/blower combo for around $300 if you are needing to get a trimmer too with the 530 CFM blower.

If I'm not mistaken, 5Ah would mean that you're getting about 20% more battery than the 4Ah but the power needed to run the stronger blower would somewhat cancel it out anyway.

Solution. The blowers come with a spot to attach these:

Shoulder Strap Trimmer Strap Blower Straps Strap Universal for Weedeater Leaf Blower, Multi Head System, Weed Eaters Clearance, for EGO String Trimmer and All Types

I have the 530 w/ only 110mph and its more than enough power. I usually keep it on the lower mph setting for the bulk of the time.

The Turbo button on the 765 gets the job done

Has anyone ever thought after purchase I really didn't need to spend excessive money for excessive power?
That 5.0ah battery is for great for mowers but unnecessary for a blower.

To the OP. Nobody ever bragged to their neighbors they got the second strongest blower.

not true. My old house was 2.5 acres on a hill and when fall came I easily chewed through that 5 pushing leaves down the driveway.

Dude not many battery tool users have a single battery. Switch n Go while the other recharges.
If puffing your EGO means getting the more expensive then do it. Wants are not needs

Thanks for all the replies folks!

I bit the bullet and "went big". After reading some of the replies, I felt that I would feel like "less of a man" if I went smaller (ha ha).

My EGO journey is complete. Over the last year, I have replaced my gas weed eater, edger, hedge trimmer, mower, and now my blower with EGO products. It all started when my gas weed eater/edger combo gave up the ghost.

I also now have (2) 2.5ah batteries, (1) 4.5ah battery, and now (1) 5ah battery. And thanks to this forum, I registered every product properly.

Almost my setup as well

string trimmer (came w/ 5ah battery)
hedge trimmer (2.5ah)
chainsaw (device only)
blower (2.5ah)
lawnmower (7.5ah)

That chainsaw fricks. I can't begin to express my frustration w/ gas chainsaws in the past. The EGO is always ready at a second's notice. add a tiny bit of blade oil, throw a battery on and get to cutting! i swear it feels like i'm 'cheating' when i cut up a fallen tree with it. like it should be alot harder...because in the past it WAS. i used to dread having to deal w/ a downed tree and now its nothing to get after it.

i have more batteries than i need at this point and if i do anything in the future, it would be to upgrade the blower or string trimmer.

oh and like the others said, those $5 ebay mounts are the shite. I think the pic of my setup is in that other thread too.
