Like it or not, Fauci was the "expert" on paper and goes back to the 80's under Reagan. Trump had to work with what he had. There's not a lot of pandemic experts hanging out on Monster.com. Trump did well with the pressers, and his polling was never higher than when he was doing them daily. Despite this, he stopped doing them because he was losing faith in Fauci (one would assume), as Trump went his way and Fauci went his. And Trump publicly spoke about being at odds with him later. If you just want to find anything that 20/20 hindsight has proven to have been wrong in 2023 and pound your chest over it, be my guest, but it's not persuasive to thinking people.

Stating the fact that DJT didn't have to give the response to c-19 all to Fauci is just PLAIN fact not chest pounding.
Why did we all scream here that fauci and the wuhon lab was fishy almost from day one but Trump as POTUS according to you had to ignore all that and skip every other expert and rely only on the pious Fauci. I don't blame DJT for it all but neither will I be a part of passing the buck and pretending he didn't have some royal screw ups just because it a election year.
